Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Minsk (the capital of Belarus) she is the daughter of Sergey. Sergey Her father (who died in 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk, Belarus on May 5 1998. Her 12 WTA singles titles comprise the Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. In doubles, she is also an outstanding player. She's won two majors along with Elise Mertens. They won the US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. Alongside the Belgian tennis champion, the Belgian also won the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells and Miami in 2019, thus completing an appearance in the Sunshine Double. Just four pairs of women's tennis were able to achieve this feat. Her ranking went from second to third in singles world rankings on the 23rd of August in 2021. Her highest rank was achieved again in January of 2023. As a doubles player, she was able to propel herself to the top of the list at the beginning of February that year after the victory in Melbourne becoming thus the second tennis player born in Belarus to achieve success in this particular area. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis star, played with her during her 2018 season to the end and part of her 2020 campaign. Dieter Kindlmann was her coach from August until September 2020. Antonio Dubrov has been her coach since 2020. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova were her idols.
